158 SNS: Calvinsim or Arminianism... Really?

Welcome to the Simple Not Shallow Podcast, where the coffee is good, and the conversation is even better.

Recently, I’ve been hearing a lot about Calvinism vs Arminianism. Have you ever noticed that when one ism starts talking about a different one, tones get hard, words get harsh, and voices tend to get raised? Aren’t we supposed to be family? This has always bothered me. And since we look at everything here through the lens of what it means to be a Christian. I thought that is what we’d do as we look at this whole Calvinism vs Arminianism thing and see what we can see.

And just to get us on the same footing, what we mean when we say Christianity is a following of Jesus the Christ, which involves, first and foremost, a relationship with him, which then leads to studentship from him, leading to a life lived from everything learned.
